"I think Jun was bored..."

T-shirt: Xmas gift from a friend at work
Socks: Forever 21
Jun: too fat but happy

My friend from work gave me this cute T-shirt for Xmas.
He knows I like punk style so he picked this design for me.
I did not know that this is a character from Super Mario game.
No wonder why everybody at work loved my outfit...
Very appropriate attire for work  :)

Unique L.A. + OOTD

I went to "Unique LA" this weekend.

Unique LA
The largest independent design show in the country, attendees get the rare chance to meet and shop directly from over 300 hand-selected designers and artists. The exciting two-day shopping event makes it easy for you to buy local and support LA’s economy, discover great design and deals, join in community, and have a blast! Over 95% of the products at the show are proudly made right here in the USA!

I found out about the event because Eva Franco sent a newsletter stating she was attending the show.

Eva Franco is a designer who has her items at Anthropologie.
I fell in love with her "Cafe Creme Skirt" at Anthropologie back in Jan 2010 and made me want to start this blog.

I, of course, wore my Eva Franco Skirt hoping to meet the designer but the staff told me I just missed her   :(
Her booth was great with all her pretty desses/skirts for about 1/3 of the original prices.

Top: Anthropologie "Headwaters Tee"
Belt: Anthropologie "Gift Bow Belt"
Skirt: Anthropologie Eva Franco "Cafe Creme Skirt"
Tights: Kate Spade
Shoes: mercibeaucoup

The event was filled with amazing crafts and arts.
Nice to see all the local artists and designers.
I found a booth which I noticed that many of the items looked very familier.
That is when I noticed that was a booth for an etsy artist that I liked and bookmarked.
The store is called "Hello,friend"
Her booth was so cute and I wanted to buy everything there.
I bought two packs of parts instead so I can figure out if I can make my own hair accessaries and necklaces.

I especially love these ones!

"Where's Jun-jun?" + OOTD

Remember the book "Where's Waldo?"
That is the book you have to find this guy "Waldo" in the crowded area.
Now you get to try MY version!

I came home from work last night and at one point, I was looking for my cat Jun for few minutes and I could not find him.
Finally I found him... I hope you can find him too!

So... let's start the game!

"Where is Jun-Jun?"

"Jun-Jun!! Whrere are you?!?"

"Jun-Jun, I need you on the couch with me!
I am too cold without you!!"

"OH! Here he is!!"
"Jun, you look like part of the Xmas presents..."

Last weekend, I went to Crossroads Trading to sell some of my clothes.
I go through my entire closet every few months and go sell the items that I am not wearing.
It is good not only to make some money (to spend more at Anthro lol) but also good to make some rooms in my packed closet.
Crossroads determines how much they sell the items for in store, and gives you either 35% of that as cash, or 50% of that as a credit.
I took the cash as most of the part but foud this Nordic "look" cardigan.
The cardigan is from Gap
I thought I would never own anything from Gap because they are not my style, however I really like this cardigan.
This cardigan was brand new with a tag that was for $59.99 and had a sale sticker over it for $29.99 and Crossroads was selling for $16.
I got it for FREE because of the store credit  :)

I love looking at etsy.com to see all the creative handcrafts.
These two buttons are my first etsy purchase.
They are from Kiss Kiss Kiddo and there are so many cute and cheap items there!
They were $1 for two and came with a cute extra tiny button!
I put the hair ties on them so I can wear them on my hair.

Recent Purchase: Anthropologie "Splendid Vinca Sweatercoat"

It is December and I have a little more allowance to go shopping with :P
I have been waiting for this pretty sweatercoat to go on sale and it finally did!
I can wear it as a dress when all the buttons are closed as well.
Since it is a round neck with no collar, I like to wear it with a scarf.

OOTD: Blue!

I own mostly dark color clothes and I never really owned light blue items.
I am having a bit of hard time coordinating my blue skirt with what I own...
This works with the cream color cardigan... but a bit too girly for my taste.

OOTD & Xmas decorations!

The turkey day is over and we are ready for the best holiday in America!
Tenshi and I went to pick up a christmas tree today.
Our apartment smells so good!
Most of the decorations are done. A lot of christmas lights everywhere☆

The "Fair Isle" or "Nordic" style is trendy this winter thanks to D&G.
I am starting to put that influence here and there in my outfits.
I love the boots tenshi bought me few winters ago.
They are from a store called "London Boots" on Melrose.

I have been lazy about the "Tie Wednesday" at work but I bought a tie shaped necklace when I was in Harajuku few weeks ago, so I think this counts   ;P

Recent Purchase: Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots !!

Wishes do come true...

As you can tell by now, I have a long wishlist for Anthropologie.
I also have a wishlist for Vivienne Westwood, but this list is more like a life time dream list.
There are two items on the VW wishlist, and Pirates boots is one of them.
I have been wanting the boots pretty much since I started being interested in VW 15 years ago.

I don't check craigslist that often any more but I was just bored few nights ago and went to the site and typed "Vivienne"... and the posting for the Pirate boots popped up.

Pirates boots costs £345 which is a little over $500.
Most likely close to $600 after shipping to the US.
The same boots costs about $1200 in Japan.
And I bought these pair from a girl who bought these boots in London but the size was too small for her.
Since she wore them twice already, she asked for $150 only!

My tenshi happened to work in the area this girl lives, so he picked up the pair for me today.

I LOVE THEM!!

Vivienne Westwood Pirates Boots
£ 345 → $150 !

Kate Moss

Sienna Miller

They use the natural leather for the buckle area, which changes colors towards more brown over the years.
It's like the leather they use for some of the Louis Vuitton purses.
So my boots would look more like Sienna's in few years.
