Recent Purchase: Vivienne Westwood Pearl Skull Crossbone Pendant

I haven't done shopping for myself since I had a baby but I received "Last Call" sale email notice from VW Los Angeles... so we decided to go back to the store.

Allmost everything was 50 to 60 % off including jewelies, and I finally decided to purchase the crossbone necklace.
This version is made with pearl, not as sparkly as the original.

$190 → $95

The Skull and Crossbones Collection has been given a more feminine edge, creating a softer and ethereal look, the skull is peppered with minute pearls. Pendant measures 2.8cm x 2.6cm, chain length 45cm.

Vivienne Westwood Sale up to 40% off at Hervia!

London based online webshop Hervia is having a semi-annual Vivienne Westwood Sale right now.
The pretty cool thing about this site is that it is tax free for all the customers outside of EU... and you know how crazy the tax is over there.
So, even though you may end up paying $20 for shipping, you get about an additional 15% off the sale price. Plus they are still having free worldwide shipping for order over 150 pounds (which usually does not happen during sale time)

I have been trying not to shop too much for the last few months to be ready for a lot of baby shopping, but I could not resist this one piece of necklace.
I have been keeping my eyes on it since it first came out for SS 2011. It is like the basic orb necklace, but has a lot of tiny pearls on it.
I have been doing a lot of over-time at work lately... so I think it is ok to treat myself :P

$121.44 →  $85.01 →  $70.84 (tax free)

The Vivienne Westwood Pearly Queen mini bas pendant features the iconic Westwood orb hanging from a fine silver chain. The orb itself is studded with many small white pearls.

Below are some of my other picks (wishlist...)

 $113.34 → $79.34 → $66.11 (tax free)

$161.92 → $113.34 → $94.45 (tax free)

Vivienne Westwood "Pave 3D Orb Ivory Pendant"
$250.98 → $175.68 → $146.41 (tax free)

$218.59 → $131.16→ $109.30 (tax free)

 $451.76 → $271.05→ $225.88 (tax free)

 Vivienne Westwood "Exhibition 1460 Wellingtons"
$208.88→ $146.21→$121.84 (tax free)

Recent Purchase: Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots !!

Wishes do come true...

As you can tell by now, I have a long wishlist for Anthropologie.
I also have a wishlist for Vivienne Westwood, but this list is more like a life time dream list.
There are two items on the VW wishlist, and Pirates boots is one of them.
I have been wanting the boots pretty much since I started being interested in VW 15 years ago.

I don't check craigslist that often any more but I was just bored few nights ago and went to the site and typed "Vivienne"... and the posting for the Pirate boots popped up.

Pirates boots costs £345 which is a little over $500.
Most likely close to $600 after shipping to the US.
The same boots costs about $1200 in Japan.
And I bought these pair from a girl who bought these boots in London but the size was too small for her.
Since she wore them twice already, she asked for $150 only!

My tenshi happened to work in the area this girl lives, so he picked up the pair for me today.

I LOVE THEM!!

Vivienne Westwood Pirates Boots
£ 345 → $150 !

Kate Moss

Sienna Miller

They use the natural leather for the buckle area, which changes colors towards more brown over the years.
It's like the leather they use for some of the Louis Vuitton purses.
So my boots would look more like Sienna's in few years.

!!BIG NEWS!! Vivienne Westwood is opening her only US store in LA!

I know... it still sounds like a dream but it is TRUE!

How did I find that information out?
It is actually an interesting story...
As I wrote in the blog below, my friend Kamaal and I went to Rodeo Drive last weekend.
When we were at D&G, the shop staff noticed Kamaal's lovely Vivienne Westwood socks and complemented her on them.
And he said "You know... VW is opening a store in Melrose..."
and we both said "WHAAAAAT??"
I am so excited!
I have been waiting for this moment since they closed down their only store in NY after 9/11.

The address of the Melose store is:
8320 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90069

I have confirmed that they won't be open till early next year, possibly January or February.

Recent Purchase: Vivienne Westwood Bouquet Necklace

Vivienne Westwood Bouquet Necklace (Long)
Beautiful enamel and Swarovski flowers sparkle on this Vivienne Westwood Necklace. This necklace also has tiny Vivienne Westwood Orbs hang from a silver chain

Hervia.com is one of the official Vivienne Westwood retailers in the UK. They have good sales twice a year for the older season items after new season items get added.

The shipping is not cheap, but international customers do not need to pay tax, which helps a lot.

Right now, they are having a SS10 (Spring/Summer 2010) sale.
Click here to check it out.
Happy shopping!

Favorite Designer ① Vivienne Westwood

I must say that my most favorite fashion designer is Vivienne Westwood.
I have been following her work for 12 years now.
I don't own any big name brands except for VW... She surprises and inspires me with every collection she puts out.

Dame Vivienne Westwood (born April 8th 1941) is a British fashion designer largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashion into the mainstream.
The legendary "Crown Hat"

The most loved "Love Jacket"
The historical "Naomi Falling"

Carrie Bradshaw from "Sex and the City"
Vivienne Westwood is very popular in Asia, especially in Japan. I don't think she was well known enough here in the US til the movie "Sex and the City" featured her wedding dress.
I would like to see her more well known here in the US so there can be a possibility of more stores carrying her fashion here, but at the same time, I don't want her fashion to be too commercial.
Her legend carries on...
