Recent Purchase: Anthropologie "Bento Box Top"

I love that name!
You tie it inside either in the front or the back to make more shape.
I think I am into this color lately...

Recent Purchase from Forever 21

I have been looking for a dress that is not too formal but something nice to wear for a nice dinner.
I am still keeping up with not buying maternity clothes but most of the clothes I wear lately are very casual.
Since it will be hard to go out for a nice dinner once the baby comes, my husband and I have been trying to go out for nice dinners once in a while.

This dress I found at Forever 21 has a vintage feeling and it has a very comfy A line cut. I can wear it till the end of my pregnancy  :)

 Forever 21 "Retro Lace Dress"
$ 24.80

There was a top from Anthropologie that I really liked.
I tried it on when it went on sale but there was something I did not like about it.
When I was at Forever 21 to purchase the above dress, I noticed this below top and I was surprised how similar this piece was to the one I liked from Anthropologie.
The price is less than half of the SALE price at Anthropologie.
So I had to bring it home.
Great with my boho maxi skirts.

$ 17.80

This is the top I saw at Anthropologie.
Very similar to the one I bought from Forever 21.
The interesting curved line makes my tummy huge!
Anthropologie "Alma Top"
$ 78 → $ 39.95

Introducing... cutest etsy store by HirokoDT !!

My very very talented friend Hiroko recently opened a super adorable etsy store!
I have been admiring her talent for a while now and I always thought it would be a great idea for her to open her own store.

I could not wait to shop at her store ... so as soon as it opened , I have already made a few purchases!

① Needle Felted Necklace
 "As You Like"
This is just the cutest thing!
Plus I can add or remove the flower and the ribbon.
That means there are so many ways to wear this cutie!

② Necklace
"Pearl and Pink"
The great thing about this little beauty is the fact that I can wear it with either dress or Jeans.
I love how both large and small pearls are mixed.

③ Vintage Lace Necklace
"Raindrops from Cloud"
Isn't this pretty?
I did not know that two totally different materials can match together so well.
I love the asymmetrical design.

Everything from her store is very affordable and super lovely!
Here are some of my favorites:
Needle Felted Necklace
$9.50

Necklace
$24.50

Earing
$10

 Needle Felted Brooch Pin

Recent Purchase: Cocue Fukubukuro

Fukubukuro (lucky bag, mystery bag?) is a Japanese New Year's Day custom where merchants make grab bags filled with unknown random contents and sell them for a substantial discount, usually 50% or more off the list price of the items contained within. The low prices are usually done to attract customers to shop at that store during the new year.

¥17546 → ¥5000 → ¥3000
* The photo is just an example

Cocue is a Japanese fashion brand whose keywords are Oriental, Ethinc, and Folklore.

I used to wear their clothes when I was a teenager in Japan. They don't make much clothing any more but their shoes and bags are still very popular.

This fukubukuro includes:
 ① a pair of shoes
 ② a purse
 ③ 2-3 accessaries.

The online store had some bags with my shoe size left, plus they were cheaper than their original ¥5000 price.

So I called my mom to expect a package in few days ;)

I won't know what is in it till when I go back to Japan next time or if my mom is kind enough to send me pics!

Some of the bags have boots instead of shoes... that is what I am hoping for!

Recent Purchase: Anthropologie "Splendid Vinca Sweatercoat"

It is December and I have a little more allowance to go shopping with :P
I have been waiting for this pretty sweatercoat to go on sale and it finally did!
I can wear it as a dress when all the buttons are closed as well.
Since it is a round neck with no collar, I like to wear it with a scarf.

Recent Purchase: Anthropologie "Headwaters Tee" & "Made To Measure Skirt"

I love Anthropologie sale! Things on my wishlist are going on sale two weeks in a row. No more shopping for me this month!!

The "Made To Measure Skirt" is beautiful. The asymmetrical design reminds me of some of the Vivienne Westwood skirts.
It was instantly sold out online as soon as it went on sale but many stores still have some more in stock.

Recent Purchase: Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots !!

Wishes do come true...

As you can tell by now, I have a long wishlist for Anthropologie.
I also have a wishlist for Vivienne Westwood, but this list is more like a life time dream list.
There are two items on the VW wishlist, and Pirates boots is one of them.
I have been wanting the boots pretty much since I started being interested in VW 15 years ago.

I don't check craigslist that often any more but I was just bored few nights ago and went to the site and typed "Vivienne"... and the posting for the Pirate boots popped up.

Pirates boots costs £345 which is a little over $500.
Most likely close to $600 after shipping to the US.
The same boots costs about $1200 in Japan.
And I bought these pair from a girl who bought these boots in London but the size was too small for her.
Since she wore them twice already, she asked for $150 only!

My tenshi happened to work in the area this girl lives, so he picked up the pair for me today.

I LOVE THEM!!

Vivienne Westwood Pirates Boots
£ 345 → $150 !

Kate Moss

Sienna Miller

They use the natural leather for the buckle area, which changes colors towards more brown over the years.
It's like the leather they use for some of the Louis Vuitton purses.
So my boots would look more like Sienna's in few years.

Present for myself

I heard that Anthro card members get 15% discount card on their birthday month but I did not receive mine. So I called the customer service and they sent it to me for October  :)

The Dagmer Shirtdress was something I knew it was really for me (the wine red color and the flowers!) and I tried it on twice in the past... I just felt guilty to buy it even on sale because it is still pretty expensive.
Because of the 15% discount and thanks to my good friends from WA sending me the Anthro gift certificates, (Thank you, Brannon & Maile!), I felt less guilty to bring back this gorgeous dress home.

Those belts are something I noticed while ago... I don't really wear belts for practical reasons so they have to be fashionable.
Both red and blue colors looked good with the Dagmer Shirtdress and could not decide which one to get... so I got them both  :)

Recent Purchase: from Betsey Johnson Outlet

Today, tenshi and I were driving up north for skydiving as part of his birthday gift. As soon as we got to the area, we noticed that it was very foggy... and the skydiving company called us to cancel the jump!
We were already in that area but luckly there is a huge outlet mall close to the airport :)

I always liked Betsey Johnson's crazy designs but never owned anything... mostly because her pieces are too expensive.
This time, they had 3 full racks of $50 clothes and a sign said "buy 1 get 1 free" which means you can buythe B.J. pieces for $25 a piece!?

So here are the results:

 Betsey Johnson "Plad Wool Jumper"
$325 → $25

Betsey Johnson "Black Denim Jacket"
$275 → $25

Recent Purchase: Anthropologie "Gleaming Shoots Blouse"

I had this top on my wishlist since March but it went on sale while I was in Japan in April.
I kept seeing other bloggers wearing this cute top so I finally decided to buy it on ebay.
This top looks great with my recent two purchases from Anthro:
"Rock Slide Skirt" and "Across The Bow Jacket"

Anthropologie "Gleaming Shoots Blouse"
by Girls from Savoy
$88 → $34.99 (ebay)

Recent Purchase: Free People 'Baltic Sea Trapeze' Lace Inset Top

I went to Loehmann's after work today.
It had to be today because my 15% birthday discount was expireing today, plus I just received an additional 20% off coupon in the mail yesterday.
This is what I found... not really my style but it is comfortable and I think it will be great to wear it on the airplain when I go to Japan on business next month.

Recent Purchase: Boden "Easygooing Silk Dress"

I love second hand stores, not only for the prices but also for the great discoveries.
I go to stores like Crossroads Trading, Wasteland, and Buffalo Exchange to buy/sell clothes.
Today,  I went to Crossroads and found a lovely dress from a brand called Boden.

$128 → $51(online sale price)
 → $27.50(Crossroads price)

Recent Purchase: Anthropologie "Across The Bow Jacket"

I don't really own "sporty" clothes, and I always wanted a hoodie which is girly.
This jacket is very comfortable and the bow makes it pretty girly, but not too much.

Recent Purchase: Anthropologie "Rock Slide Skirt"

I got my bottom two wisdom teeth taken out last Thursday. Two days before that on Tuesday, I have noticed that the skirt on my wishlist went on sale.
I called the nearest Anthropologie from work to hold my size and went to pick it up on Wednesday. Few days have passed since the surgery but I still look like a chipmunk... at least a chipmunk with a pretty skirt  :P

Recent Purchase: Romeo and Juliet Couture Dress

I love going to Loehmann's to buy great pieces for discounted prices.
I saw some Mac by Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Tam, Free People, Theory for amazing prices.
Romeo and Juliet Couture is one of the brands that I check out everytime I go to Loehmann's.

The top I bought is very simple and I need to accessorize it a lot... but very comfortable and I can wear it with jeans or leggings!

Gift for myself at Anthropologie

So my manager called me on Monday telling me I had to meet with the director in an hour.
Last time I had a meeting with her, I got temporary laid off. The time before I had a meeting with her, she told me to go to England for a business trip.
So I figured I should pack up my desk either way.
I was nervous to see her... either being out of work for few weeks again, or going somewhere far far away again...

Not.
It was neither of them.

☆  I got promoted !! ☆

To celebrate my little promotion at work, I went to Anthropologie to get myself this necklace that I have been stalking and waiting to go on sale for few weeks.
This is my first Anthropologie purchase that is not from the sale section. I feel like I am a grown up now  :)

Anthropologie "Pessinus Garden Necklace"
$32
(sold out online)

I was deciding between the silver one and this gold one.
The gold one is pretty nice too.

I also checked out the sale section and found this pretty cardigan.
