Recent Purchase from Forever 21

I have been looking for a dress that is not too formal but something nice to wear for a nice dinner.
I am still keeping up with not buying maternity clothes but most of the clothes I wear lately are very casual.
Since it will be hard to go out for a nice dinner once the baby comes, my husband and I have been trying to go out for nice dinners once in a while.

This dress I found at Forever 21 has a vintage feeling and it has a very comfy A line cut. I can wear it till the end of my pregnancy  :)

There was a top from Anthropologie that I really liked.
I tried it on when it went on sale but there was something I did not like about it.
When I was at Forever 21 to purchase the above dress, I noticed this below top and I was surprised how similar this piece was to the one I liked from Anthropologie.
The price is less than half of the SALE price at Anthropologie.
So I had to bring it home.
Great with my boho maxi skirts.

Cheap options from Forever 21 for pregnant ladies

As I mentioned before, I am 5 months pregnant with everyday growing tummy and I am (so far) successfully not buying any maternity clothes.
I went to Crossroads Trading and Wasteland to sell about 40 of my clothes that I know that I will never wear once I have my baby.
Now my closet is like 1/4 of what it used to be... I needed a little more choices.

My rule for buying regular clothes for maternity me is:

1. A line dresses

2. Flowy tops (Chiffon is great)

3. Skirts with elastic waists

Death Jam Rapstar!

There was a themed costume contest at work this year. My department's theme was "Death Jam Rapstar" because we just finished up a game called "Def Jam Rapstar". I have no idea how to dress up as a Rapstar... So many people tried to help me and gave me advice.
At 7pm after work, I rushed into the Forever21 store and told the store staff that I have to look like either a rapper or a girlfriend of a rapper. She laughed a little and helped me from head to toe till the store closed. The only things I did not purchase were my boots.

I am actually not sure if this is the same top I got. My top is slightly dark green. There are a few things that are wearble for "non-halloween" occasions. Especially the vest is very cute and confortable. The store staff who helped me said she is going to buy the vest as well.
