Recent Purchase: Fire King and Hazel Atlas milkglass

From Top Left:
Fire King Candle Glow Custard Cup
Fire King Orange Flower Cup
Hazel Atlas Currier and Ives Tumbler
Hazel Atlas Orange Juice Glasses
Hazel Atlas Blue Ripple C & S

Such a cute girly design...
I just need to find two more cups

Adding pieces little by little

As soon as I gave away the saucer, the cup showed up...

Currier and Ives was a successful American printmaking firm

I hardly ever buy non-milk glass dishes any more, but I found this big piece few years ago. Now I have two cups to go with it!

Retro Stained Glass

I have always liked stained glass. When I look at magazines that have photos of cute retro kitchens with milk glass, many times they also have stained glass as part of their decoration.
I have been looking for a simple piece for few months now and I finally found one that I really like.

" Tulip "

I have had these two stained glass candle holders and they are very pretty when they are lit at night.

I would like to have few more simple pieces like these:

Maybe I just need to take classes to learn how to make my own...

Recent Purchase: Fire King Apple Stacking Mug

Fire King
Apple
Stacking Mug

A lot of Fire King mug collectors have this mug. And this is one of the series of four. (Apple, Orange, Lemon, and Pear)
I have seen those mugs around, but they have always been too expensive.
I bought this one from a nice old man with a decent price.
I wonder how long it will take to complete the whole set...
I am patient   :)

Vivienne Westwood Bouquet Necklace (Long)
Beautiful enamel and Swarovski flowers sparkle on this Vivienne Westwood Necklace. This necklace also has tiny Vivienne Westwood Orbs hang from a silver chain

Hervia.com is one of the official Vivienne Westwood retailers in the UK. They have good sales twice a year for the older season items after new season items get added.

The shipping is not cheap, but international customers do not need to pay tax, which helps a lot.

Right now, they are having a SS10 (Spring/Summer 2010) sale.

Happy shopping!

Vintage-inspired Aprons by Jessie Steele

I have noticed that there are always a lot of pretty aprons in the kitchen section of Anthoropologie. And most of them are from the brand called "Jessie Steele"

Jessie Steele vintage-inspired, hostess and kitchen aprons prove true the old adage that beauty and style are timeless. Influenced by the romantic visions of a bygone era, and designed in vibrant colors, flirty patterns and figure flattering shapes, these fine quality, retro-chic cooking aprons make the perfect fashion accessory in or out of the kitchen.

I saw Charlotte and her daughter Lily wearing the matching Aprons in the movie "Sex and the City 2" and they lookd adorable!

Introducing... my UGLY☆CUTE Shoes!

These pair of shoes must be one of the ugliest, and at the same time, cutest thing I have ever bought.
When I was in Japan, I went to the outlet mall in Shizuoka and found the shoes at Tsumori Chisato store.
The back of the shoes are supposed to be koala bear faces and they can be taken out.

What do you think? Cute or Ugly?

Today is the day I officially became Otaku!

Yes, I know this blog is supposed to be for fashion...
Only my family and a few of my friends know why I sometimes put the video game information here...

Mr. Hideo Kojima (小島 秀夫, born August 24, 1963) is a Japanese video game designer originally employed at Konami. Formerly the vice president of Konami Computer Entertainment Japan, he is currently the Executive Corporate Officer Director of Kojima Productions. He is the creator and director of a number of successful games, including the Metal Gear series.

He came to Southern California today to meet fans and sign autographs celebrating his newest edition of the Metal Gear series!

He has been on a world tour, and he will head to the E3 Convention next week.

Many devoted fans came to be in line as early as 5am!

There were some fans with cool cos-plays and they got to take pictures with Mr. Kojima.

My friend Kamaal and I got there 2 hours before the signing and it was too late... and a miracle happened! We got to the front of the line and got these autographs!

And they even gave us T-shirts!

I promised Kamaal that I would wear the T-shirt to work tomorrow. It took me a while to figure out how I can make this HUGE(XL) T-shirt fashionable... and this is the best I could do.

As soon as I saw myself wearing the MGS T-shirt, I felt like I officially became Otaku today.
I love it!
