News: JPG for TARGET next week!

Legendary Parisian designer meets
American pop culture at prices that rock!

I have so many favorite designers but Jean Paul Gaultier is surely one of them. His style is a little bit of goth, hippie, and sometime punk and rock. A lot of his collection are influenced by different cultures, especially Asian.

Target has been futuring great designers and this one will surely be the one that I have to check out.

You can see the collection here.

March 7th (Sun) 2010
I will be there right at 8 am!

The past great designers that collaborated with Target are Orla Kiely, Anna Sui, Alexander McQueen, Rodarte... and more.

I try to go to Target to check those whenever they come out, however I did not find anything I wanted to buy with McQueen, surprisingly.

These are some of the items that I have bought in the past.

Orla Kiely Kitchen Collection for TARGET

$2.49 and up

Rodarte for TARGET
Ochre Lace & Tulle Skirt

Favorite Designer ① Vivienne Westwood

I must say that my most favorite fashion designer is Vivienne Westwood.
I have been following her work for 12 years now.
I don't own any big name brands except for VW... She surprises and inspires me with every collection she puts out.

Dame Vivienne Westwood (born April 8th 1941) is a British fashion designer largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashion into the mainstream.
The legendary "Crown Hat"

The most loved "Love Jacket"
The historical "Naomi Falling"

Carrie Bradshaw from "Sex and the City"
Vivienne Westwood is very popular in Asia, especially in Japan. I don't think she was well known enough here in the US til the movie "Sex and the City" featured her wedding dress.
I would like to see her more well known here in the US so there can be a possibility of more stores carrying her fashion here, but at the same time, I don't want her fashion to be too commercial.
Her legend carries on...

☆ GIFT ☆ Anthropologie "Lolland Sweater Dress"

This week was a tough week for me.
There were some changes at my work and I was pretty sad and depressed most of the week.
Then my cute little sentra finally died...
My tenshi took me out for a Japanese dinner to cheer me up and bought me this beautiful dress.
This was a dress that we looked at together few weeks ago and he said "That is so you!" but I never thought I would be able to own it.
Thank you, tenshi!

SALE! Anthropologie "Gumshoe Sweatercoat"

Anthropologie "Gumshoe Sweatercoat"
by Charlie & Robin
$168 → $89.95

Finally this day has come!
When I noticed the sweatercoat went on sale online yesterday, I quickly left my office and called the nearby Anthropologie store to hold this sweatercoat for me.
I went to pick it up today, and it is beautiful!
It was sold out quickly online, but the stores still have some ivory, red, orange and purple colors.
Purple was beautiful too... but I had to get this amazing red!

I own only one pink dress, and figured today is the perfect day to wear it...

Orla Kiely "Alpine Print Dress" (2006 A/W Collection)

Recent Purchase: A little vintage, a little retro.

While ago, I bought these two pieces.
They are both silk, and a little vintage feeling.

Alexander McQueen 1969 - 2010

One of the most talented fashion designer of this century has passed away today. I love his strong, punk-rock mixed, but elegant designs. I believe my most favorite designer, Vivienne Westwood, inspired his work a lot...
I would like to dedicate today's blog to him.

Price Comparison: Cute little hair accessaries.

Recently my fashion style is changing and I think I am more into the classic style.
With that, I needed some hair accessaries.
