Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

My friend Kamaal and I agree that Miu Miu had the best collection at the Paris Fashion Week for F/W 10-11.
The bow, mini skirt, turtle neck, A-line dress... we can definitely figure out with the cheaper brand options!

You can watch the full collection here and continues here.

Goth Friday ☆ミ

My work does not have any strict dress code but pretty much everybody wears t-shirt and jeans.
My friend Kamaal and I LOVE fashion and we wanted to have some fashion challenges in our work life. So we started "Tie Wednesday" a while back. We also have done "Hello Kitty Monday" lately.
Our Italian friend from work is from Milan and he has a great taste in fashion, plus he knows all the amazing Italian fashion designers.
It was time for us to try something new, so we decided to start....
GOTH FRIDAY!

Shirt Dress: h. NAOTO USA

I think many people at work liked it and some people said they will join us next Friday and wear all black.
Let's see what happens next Friday.

Happy Tie Wednesday!

Nice to have the three of us back again!
Kamaal is wearing a lovely pink & white tie from a 100 yen (about $1) store in Japan called Daiso. The store is amazing!

I bought my dress at Hanjiro years ago. The store has both used/vintage clothing and recycle/remake clothing.
My dress was originally an XL Men's Ralph Lauren shirt. They cut the sleeves and made skirt out of it. I think it is brilliant!

Meeting Japan's biggest Harajuku designer ... h. NAOTO !

Naoto Hirooka, better known as h. NAOTO (born 1978) is a Japanese avant-garde fashion designer. h. NAOTOs style of clothing and accessories could be classified under Japanese punk and gothic lolita, and he has been called the "most visible and successful of the labels fixated on that style."
He graduated from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, joined S-inc. in 1999, and launched his own brand, h.NAOTO in the Spring/Summer of 2000.

He is the biggest Harajuku fashion designer.
Punk, Goth, Lolita...

I got to meet the designer!
(me, next to him!!)
He was very nice and I told him that he needs to open a store here in the US.

I bought this T-shirt dress that day.
You can adjust the length of the sides of the dress.

He told me this is the h. NAOTO USA design, which means he designed this piece specially for US. You can buy his USA lines only in the US events!

He even signed his latest catalog for me!

Recent Purchase: Fire King and Hazel Atlas milkglass

From Top Left:
Fire King Candle Glow Custard Cup
Fire King Orange Flower Cup
Hazel Atlas Currier and Ives Tumbler
Hazel Atlas Orange Juice Glasses
Hazel Atlas Blue Ripple C & S

Such a cute girly design...
I just need to find two more cups

Adding pieces little by little

As soon as I gave away the saucer, the cup showed up...

Currier and Ives was a successful American printmaking firm

I hardly ever buy non-milk glass dishes any more, but I found this big piece few years ago. Now I have two cups to go with it!

Retro Stained Glass

I have always liked stained glass. When I look at magazines that have photos of cute retro kitchens with milk glass, many times they also have stained glass as part of their decoration.
I have been looking for a simple piece for few months now and I finally found one that I really like.

" Tulip "

I have had these two stained glass candle holders and they are very pretty when they are lit at night.

I would like to have few more simple pieces like these:

Maybe I just need to take classes to learn how to make my own...
