I have not been excited about Target x Designer collaboration in a while but I think this one should be pretty good.
The line comprises of a 400 pieces and will be priced from $2.99 to $599.
Featuring the label's iconic multi-coloured zig-zag and stripe patterns.
The line is due to launch in the US on September 13.
I cannot wait!

I have been looking for a dress that is not too formal but something nice to wear for a nice dinner.
I am still keeping up with not buying maternity clothes but most of the clothes I wear lately are very casual.
Since it will be hard to go out for a nice dinner once the baby comes, my husband and I have been trying to go out for nice dinners once in a while.

This dress I found at Forever 21 has a vintage feeling and it has a very comfy A line cut. I can wear it till the end of my pregnancy :)

So I had to bring it home.
Great with my boho maxi skirts.

As I mentioned before, I am 5 months pregnant with everyday growing tummy and I am (so far) successfully not buying any maternity clothes.
I went to Crossroads Trading and Wasteland to sell about 40 of my clothes that I know that I will never wear once I have my baby.
Now my closet is like 1/4 of what it used to be... I needed a little more choices.

Fukubukuro (lucky bag, mystery bag?) is a Japanese New Year's Day custom where merchants make grab bags filled with unknown random contents and sell them for a substantial discount, usually 50% or more off the list price of the items contained within. The low prices are usually done to attract customers to shop at that store during the new year.

Cocue is a Japanese fashion brand whose keywords are Oriental, Ethinc, and Folklore.

I used to wear their clothes when I was a teenager in Japan. They don't make much clothing any more but their shoes and bags are still very popular.

This fukubukuro includes:
① a pair of shoes
② a purse
③ 2-3 accessaries.

The online store had some bags with my shoe size left, plus they were cheaper than their original ¥5000 price.

So I called my mom to expect a package in few days ;)

I won't know what is in it till when I go back to Japan next time or if my mom is kind enough to send me pics!

Some of the bags have boots instead of shoes... that is what I am hoping for!

Anthropologie's online wedding boutique "BHLDN" will be opening in

Feburuary 14th 2011

There is a rumor that there will be two stores opening shortly after the online opening.

One is going to be Huston TX... I think??

And I am not sure where the second one will be.

Even though I don't need to do wedding shopping, I would still love to see the store. They will not only have wedding gowns but also event dresses.

I loved the photos so much that I actually bought the white shirt in the second photo.

I went to "Unique LA" this weekend.

Unique LA

I found out about the event because Eva Franco sent a newsletter stating she was attending the show.

Eva Franco is a designer who has her items at Anthropologie.
I fell in love with her "Cafe Creme Skirt" at Anthropologie back in Jan 2010 and made me want to start this blog.

I, of course, wore my Eva Franco Skirt hoping to meet the designer but the staff told me I just missed her :(
Her booth was great with all her pretty desses/skirts for about 1/3 of the original prices.

I bought two packs of parts instead so I can figure out if I can make my own hair accessaries and necklaces.

Last weekend, I went to Crossroads Trading to sell some of my clothes.

I go through my entire closet every few months and go sell the items that I am not wearing.

It is good not only to make some money (to spend more at Anthro lol) but also good to make some rooms in my packed closet.

Crossroads determines how much they sell the items for in store, and gives you either 35% of that as cash, or 50% of that as a credit.

I took the cash as most of the part but foud this Nordic "look" cardigan.

The cardigan is from Gap.

I thought I would never own anything from Gap because they are not my style, however I really like this cardigan.

This cardigan was brand new with a tag that was for $59.99 and had a sale sticker over it for $29.99 and Crossroads was selling for $16.

I got it for FREE because of the store credit :)

I love looking at etsy.com to see all the creative handcrafts.

These two buttons are my first etsy purchase.

They are from Kiss Kiss Kiddo and there are so many cute and cheap items there!

They were $1 for two and came with a cute extra tiny button!

I put the hair ties on them so I can wear them on my hair.

Wishes do come true...

As you can tell by now, I have a long wishlist for Anthropologie.

I also have a wishlist for Vivienne Westwood, but this list is more like a life time dream list.

There are two items on the VW wishlist, and Pirates boots is one of them.

I have been wanting the boots pretty much since I started being interested in VW 15 years ago.

I don't check craigslist that often any more but I was just bored few nights ago and went to the site and typed "Vivienne"... and the posting for the Pirate boots popped up.

Pirates boots costs ￡345 which is a little over $500.

Most likely close to $600 after shipping to the US.

The same boots costs about $1200 in Japan.

And I bought these pair from a girl who bought these boots in London but the size was too small for her.

Since she wore them twice already, she asked for $150 only!

My tenshi happened to work in the area this girl lives, so he picked up the pair for me today.

I LOVE THEM!!

Death Jam Rapstar!

There was a themed costume contest at work this year. My department's theme was "Death Jam Rapstar" because we just finished up a game called "Def Jam Rapstar". I have no idea how to dress up as a Rapstar... So many people tried to help me and gave me advice.

I heard that Anthro card members get 15% discount card on their birthday month but I did not receive mine. So I called the customer service and they sent it to me for October :)

The Dagmer Shirtdress was something I knew it was really for me (the wine red color and the flowers!) and I tried it on twice in the past... I just felt guilty to buy it even on sale because it is still pretty expensive.
Because of the 15% discount and thanks to my good friends from WA sending me the Anthro gift certificates, (Thank you, Brannon & Maile!), I felt less guilty to bring back this gorgeous dress home.

Those belts are something I noticed while ago... I don't really wear belts for practical reasons so they have to be fashionable.
Both red and blue colors looked good with the Dagmer Shirtdress and could not decide which one to get... so I got them both :)

So my manager called me on Monday telling me I had to meet with the director in an hour.
Last time I had a meeting with her, I got temporary laid off. The time before I had a meeting with her, she told me to go to England for a business trip.
So I figured I should pack up my desk either way.
I was nervous to see her... either being out of work for few weeks again, or going somewhere far far away again...

Great Thrift Treasure: Marc Jacobs Long Skirt!

I hardly ever go to thrift stores for clothing any more, but the last time I went to Goodwill to check out some milkglass, I decided to stop at their skirt section.
And this is what I found...

It was one of those "ugly cute" pieces but I thought I can use it for my boho/hippie style fashion.

And then I noticed that the label says: MARC JACOBS and I wanted to scream!

Today, I was searching for the "best fashion blogs" online and I found this blog by Goodwill. You can see all the amazing pieces that you can possibly find in your local Goodwill.

I know... it still sounds like a dream but it is TRUE!

How did I find that information out?

It is actually an interesting story...

As I wrote in the blog below, my friend Kamaal and I went to Rodeo Drive last weekend.

When we were at D&G, the shop staff noticed Kamaal's lovely Vivienne Westwood socks and complemented her on them.

And he said "You know... VW is opening a store in Melrose..."

and we both said "WHAAAAAT??"

I am so excited!

I have been waiting for this moment since they closed down their only store in NY after 9/11.

The address of the Melose store is:

I have confirmed that they won't be open till early next year, possibly January or February.
